The Gospel is True Don't Forget It

Friends and Family,

Hope you all had a fantastic week!  Our week was another great one here in Salem/Keizer.  So much is going on and it is such a blessing!  The Lord is truly blessing us.

This week, we had an exchange with the Fairgrounds Elders.  I was with Elder Memmott from Stockton, UT.  He has three weeks left and due to some wildness in the zone, President made him district leader for his last three weeks, ha ha.  So, we had an exchange and had a good time.  We taught Maureen on that exchange and it was another fantastic lesson!  She just soaks up the gospel.  We told her about General Conference and she was so pumped fore it!  She committed to be baptized on October 27th!  She is progressing well.

Our other people are doing pretty good.  Jeremy still wants to be baptized but never keeps commitments.  Leah is doing good, too.  she is doing good with the Word of Wisdom and also came to church.  Good stuff!  Kenn is also doing great and is set for the 29th!

One miracle this week was Kristin French--the one Elder Hinck and I found on exchanges.  We had an amazing lesson with her on Tuesday.  she's going through a rough patch at the moment and when we walked in her home, she was just super stressed and overwhelmed.  We invited the Spirit and really just listened to her and taught to her needs and at the end, she was calm and relaxed.  It was a huge testimony builder that the Spirit is the comforter and when we invite it into our lives, we will have peace!  Kristi ended up coming to church this week and had a great experience.

This week, we also had quite a few service opportunities that were all really good!  We helped two returning members, Brother Douglass and Brother Tarter (both super awesome btw) with some yard work and stuff.  Service really does soften people's hearts it's sweet!  Another one was for a potential named Kathy.  We helped her move into a house across the street.  she is so sweet and has lots of member friends.  She was on date about a year ago, but moved and missionaries never picked her back up so, I'm excited about that one!!!

I love you all and hope you have a good week!  Thank you for all of the prayers.  We are definitely seeing them help us!  The gospel is true don't forget it!!

MLC from last week.  It's blurry but ah well.  all the other ZL's are homies so MLCs are just a blast.

Love,
