Exchanges! And Your Boy's an Uncle!!

Friends and family!

Huge shoutout to Zach and Nano for having their baby!!  Welcome to the fam, Okalani!!  So pumped!

This week was great!  We had two exchanges which always makes the week cruise by.  The first one was with the Assistants!  I went up to Newberg with the man, Elder DeHart.  He is such a beast, holy cow.  I learned a ton from him in our 24 hours together.  We spent a lot of time on the exchange in this town called Dundee.  There were some hard hearted people there to say the least.  We got rejected hard but we were able to find a super prepared girl for those elders to teach.  The rejection was worth it.

The other exchange was with the Elders over in Silverton.  I went there with MY SON, Elder Wuthrich and his companion, Elder Jackson (they are in a trio).  Man, that was a good time.  So much fun to get back together for a day with Elder Wuthrich.  It is cool to see how much he has grown as a missionary!  #prouddad.  Elder Jackson is from Texas.  It was our second exchange together.  We got some work done and saw some cool things happen out in Silverton.  The elders over there get free Subway so you already know we took advantage.

In the days that Elder Rasmussen and I were together, we found a ton of potential people.  We have just been talking with everyone we see and are just trying to find people who the Lord is preparing.  Hopefully, we will see the fruits of our labors this next week!  We had an accountability interview for Kenn this week and it went pretty well.  The member of the mission presidency who was there is on the fence about if he is accountable or not so he is going to talk with President and get back to us.  If he is accountable, great.  But if not, he is gonna be the most golden investigator the Spirit World missionaries have ever seen!

So, that was the week.  We have dropped a bunch of people this week.  One being Jeremy (who was on date for November 17) just because of his schedule.  He is very prepared, he just needs some time to get everything all figured out.  He will be baptized here eventually.

Well, that was pretty much the week!  We are doing great here in Oregon.  No complaints (except for the constant smell of pot).  All is well!  Love you guys, have a great week!  Also, shoutout to my brother Zach who had a birthday on the 20th as well as the homie Elder Allen down in Mexico city who had a birthday last week!

Good Things are Happening

What is going on?

Wow, this week was great!  We had a lot happening this week.  The Lord is continuing to bless us and humble us.  We see blessings and miracles everyday.  We had MLC this week up in Newberg.  MLC is where all the zone leaders and sister training leaders get together and have this council on how we can continue to improve the mission, we also set monthly goals for the mission and President Tateoka gives us training.  It's a blast.  There are some homies in the MLC so we just party all day!

We began teaching Kenn again for the third time, ha ha.  His friend that lives in Utah wants us to continue to help him prepare for baptism.  There was a breakthrough with his brain and it is actually getting better!  Miracle!  He loves the Gospel so much and actually OYMd someone on our way to church yesterday ha ha.  It was awesome, gotta love Kenn.  He is currently on date for November 3rd but we will see what happens with the interview.

Heather and Zane officially moved to Spokane this week.  We helped them pack up their stuff on Tuesday.  As we said goodbye, she basically bore her testimony to us of the Savior and His love for her.  It has honestly been so cool teaching her and seeing her progress in the Gospel.  she would have been baptized a month or two ago, but the craziness with her house took up most of her time.  We got her in touch with the missionaries up there so WOOHOO!

So, last week, we watched conference at a family named the Brown's home.  They are a sweet fam.  They found out that I had worked at Swig before my mission.  They had heard of it but never had it before and wanted to try it.  We went over for dinner like two days later and they had bought all of the stuff and wanted me to make everyone swig drinks!  It was a good time, they hooked it up.

Well, that was the week!  Good things are happening here, it's awesome.  Missionary work is honestly the best.  Love you guys, have a good week!

B-dubs last P day!  Hadn't been there in a hot minute.  It was so nice.  Plus, we caught a little postseason baseball heehee oops

Conference Weekend > Super Bowl Weekend

What's up everyone?

Holy cow, General Conference was so nice.  The Lord is truly hastening His work in these days with all of these changes!  president Nelson is truly the Lord's prophet on the Earth today.  Every time he speaks, I feel the spirit so strong.  We are so blessed to have a living prophet to lead and guide us in these last days!

We had a fairly busy week this week with the new transfer starting.  Our zone got demolished so there were changes everywhere!  We got 3 new district leaders so that is fun.  We had a district leader training meeting which was pretty good.  They are all great elders and are going to do awesome!

We had some really good visits with some of the people we are teaching!  We taught a man named Micah who has a sincere desire to know the truth.  He asks so many sincere questions, it's been really cool teaching him.  He loves his current church and beliefs but he has been feeling the spirit as we have taught him and as he has read from the Book of Mormon.

Kristi watched conference with us and enjoyed it.  she continues to progress and feel the Savior's love for her.  She is awesome.  Jeremy watched conference as well and is continuing to progress.  We had to drop/got dropped by a few other people we were teaching, but we are determined to find more that the Lord is preparing!  Heather and Zane are moving up to Spokane this week so keep them in your prayers as well.

I loved how a lot of the talks were centered on the Plan of Salvation and God's love for us.  My fave was definitely Elder Renlund's talk.  So bomb.  I am so grateful for a loving Father in Heaven and for our Savior, Jesus Christ.  I know that They live and are aware of each of us.  I know that this is the only true church on the Earth and that the Book of Mormon is the word of God!  It has been incredible to see the impact it has on people's lives.  I love you guys.  Have a great week!
